Go Greek!

Being the health buff that Mark is, and whenever he's prepping up for an upcoming competition, just like the one this December, he is very strict when it comes to eating right. And whenever we would go out, he still sees to it that he watches what he eats.

At first I thought we would find it hard to choose on where to eat since there aren't any restos or fast food chains that offer hard-boiled eggs minus the yolk, boiled sweet potatoes, plain oatmeal, tuna soaked in water, or boiled chicken breast fillet without even a pinch of salt..hehe..But thank God there's World Chicken. They offer a variety of dishes that very much suits into Mark's diet.

Last Friday night, before meeting up with some friends, Mark and I decided to have dinner first at Glorietta 4. Knowing that he would opt to eat again at World Chicken, we headed straight to the Food Choices at Level 3. I must say that I also like their dishes, but having to eat the same thing or just having to go to the same resto every time we go out could be annoying at times (haha! sorry Mark ;p).

I was heading towards the very long line to World Chicken, when Mark suggested that we go around the area first to look for something to eat (whew! I just felt a sign of relief! haha!). We stopped at every food chain, but we still can't decid what to eat. We already reached the end of the chain, so Mark just decided to try it out at Go Greek!.

He ordered their Gyro Chicken Platter, and I, being the not-so-adventurous-when-it-comes-to-food type, just decided to order the same. ;p The dish comes with a generous serving of roasted chicken strips on top of pita bread slices, fresh garden salad, and a choice of baked potato wedges or rice.

And for the drinks, Mark had Fruit Magic's Strawberry Yogurt with Vanilla Whey Protein, while I opted for their Melon Shake.

Both of us were really not into Greek cuisine, until after we tried out the dish! We both enjoyed the dinner and we both loved the food. And the next time that we go out, at least I know that there's another resto that we can eat from. :) Good thing Mark decided to 'Go Greek!'. :D

Another reason why I love Mark so much...he tolerates my Hello Kitty addiction! Hahaha! He sure knows how I really love this cute little kitty that he goes out of his way and makes sure that he gets one kitty for me whenever he can. awwwww... :D

Another welcome addition to my Hello Kitty collection!! This was given to me by Mark one Saturday afternoon when he spent the weekend at my place. Thanks Mark!

Marked For Life!

Have you ever done something extreme? Something which you never thought you could? Well Mark and I did!

Mark and I have been joking about having tattoos on our body because we both have big scars (mine is at my back and Mark's is at his forearm). We've agreed on having ourselves marked but we never really took that seriously. We've been searching through the net about famous tattoo artists, shops, and designs. But all of these were really just for fun.

But just this afternoon, as we were talking about this tattoo thing, my mom suggested that we try out the tattoo shop near our place. We really didn't know what got into us and before we knew it, we were marked for life!

I got a butterfly tattoo on my back...

Mark got an ambigram tattoo of his name on his forearm...

Congratulations Manny!!!

Mark and I went off from home at 7am to SM North to watch Pacquiao and Cotto's fight. After eating breakfast at McDonald's, we went straight to Cinema 6.

We got into the cinema at around 8:30am. As usual, there were matches other than Pacquiao and Cotto's, which got me a little bored, so Mark and I decided to go out for a while to buy drinks and popcorn. While waiting in line at the popcorn booth, Mark's attention was caught by a commotion. He went towards it and when he got back he was already holding this:

And then finally, after around 4 hours, came the main event, Pacquiao and Cotto's fight. The first round has just started, but you can already hear and see people shouting and cheering for Pacquiao.

Everyone in the cinema was excited for the fight, but I must say that Mark was the most! It was because he really is a fan of Pacquiao, and because he was both excited and nervous for his mom. Just like in Pacquiao's previous fight with Hatton, Mark's mom again placed a bet on Pacquiao's opponent, but this time it was bigger.

The fight ended at around 2:30pm. As I've said before, I'm not really a fan of boxing, but I still found myself cheering and rejoicing after Manny won! And just like before, everyone in the cinema was very happy when Manny won, except of course for Mark's mom. ;p

After the fight we headed to Trinoma to have lunch and to shop for Christmas gifts. :D
