Kirby & Joycie's Wedding

I accompanied Mark to his friend's wedding last December 16. He was one of the groom's men and, being the annoyingly sweet type, he invited me over (as early as October, I think) because he said he needed a gorgeous photographer! haha!

He was very much concerned at how he looks and even days before the wedding, he was whining non-stop about the not-so-obvious little blemishes on his face! And honestly, this was the first time that I knew of this vanity! He even bought kojic acid soap and scrubbed his face the night before! Hahaha! And the moment he arrived at our house to fetch me up, all he could say was "Ok na ba yung mukha ko? Nag-da-dry pa ba?" He can't seem to be contented with what I said so he started taking photos of him when we got into the car. Vain Mark! Hahaha!

Mark, being sooooo vain, and I, ruining his shots haha!

We got into the church a little early so we decided to take some pictures first. :p

It was my first time to witness a Christian wedding. It was a lot different from the traditional Catholic weddings as there was no mass celebrated. It was the Pastor who headed the celebration. The wedding entourage was complete, but the secondary sponsors didn't really took part in the celebration, unlike in Catholic weddings where they are designated to light the candles and put veil and cord to the couple. They also had no wedding rings. But being so simple as it may seem, I must admit that it was a lot more intimate and solemn than traditional Catholic weddings. You can really feel the sincerity and love of the couple as they exchange their heartfelt vows. I also liked how the Pastor gave the couple his advice. Everything was just spontaneous, solemn, and heartfelt.

The reception was very much like that of the traditional weddings, it also included the traditional cake-cutting, drinking of wine, and the couple's dance.

There was also the throwing of the bouquet and garter. All the single ladies were called and I was the one who was left without a having caught a single rose that was thrown by the bride so it was I who was given the bride's bouquet. It was believed that whoever catches the bouquet and garter will be the next couple to get married. And guess who got the groom's garter? Hmmmm...Could this be a sign? haha! Ooops! Daddy, you know I'm just kidding right? ;p I love you!

-Mark and I: next in line???
-My Dad (to me): sure, when you turn 39!
-Mark's Mom (to Mark): ok, when you're 32!

Everyone was teasing us especially when the host of the program suggested that we kiss!

We took some more photos before finally going home. ;p

Limited Edition Johnson's Body Care Gift Pack

A couple of weeks ago I got an email from Johnson & Johnson's saying that I was referred by my friend Jerellt to get their limited edition Johnson's Body Care gift pack. And so I signed up and referred five other friends in return.

And just this morning, I received a package delivered by LBC. It's the Johnson's Body Care Gift Pack that I signed up for! The gift pack contains six 25ml Johnson's Body Lotion.

Thanks Jerellt for sharing the softness with me! :)

Satisfying My Shoe Fetish

Mark and I met up last Monday after work. We headed straight to Trinoma Mall because I needed to buy a dress for a friend's wedding. We were both hungry when we got to the mall, so we decided to have dinner first before we go shopping.

I was able to buy a black tube dress and Mark liked it, but he said that wearing black on a wedding seems to be not a good idea. We practically went to every dress shop, but I just couldn't find the right dress. It was getting late and I can sense that Mark is starting to get annoyed (just as how I get annoyed whenever we go to guy shops hehe), so I decided to buy shoes at Janylin instead (after all, I already got a red tube bubble dress at home and I think I can just wear that again haha!)

I've always wanted to buy shoes from Janylin, unfortunately their branches are at malls which are very far from my place.  And whenever I go to a Janylin branch, most of the time large sizes are all that's left or they have no stock of the style that I want.

Mark just found it so funny, and maybe weird I guess, at how I was supposed to buy a dress, but I ended up buying this instead:

Pointed Toe Classic Pump with 4" Stiletto Heel from Janylin - Php 3595

I bought the red one to match my red dress. I really wanted to buy all the other colors but I just had to control myself at that time. Hmmm..a week's worth of being thrifty would be good enough I guess haha!

And then finally, we were off for home! Just imagine how relieved Mark was! Hahaha! We were supposed to ride the MRT on our way home, but I insisted that we just take a cab because I'm already tired. And guess what? Mark just couldn't help but laugh upon hearing my plea. He said that he really finds it really funny how I can endure hours and hours of shopping and yet I couldn't stand just a minute of walk to the train station. Hahaha! ;p

Mark, don't forget to mark your calendar for this weekend, ok? I still need to buy a red clutch and a few accessories. Haha! Don't worry, it won't take long this time, I promise! *hugs and kisses*

Fun Sunday with My Family

Here's another reason why I love weekends very much..I get to spend some quality time with my beloved family!

After hearing mass, we decided to go to SM Marikina to have lunch. We were able to catch their 'White Christmas' animal display/exhibit. Too bad the lady guard won't allow people to come near the animals, I would have wanted to take a photo of Jaoey riding one of the polar bears or the unicorns hehe..

We then went around to shop and then took some more photos on our way home. :)
