I turned another year older last January 3. ^_^

It feels great to be 24! :) Especially when I hear my dad say, "hmmm..24? Still young!" haha!

I had a wonderful birthday celebration. It started last January 2, Saturday. I was planning to have a swimming party, just like what we did on my 23rd birthday, but I really didn't have much time to organize and prepare for it. So we just decided to have a simple celebration instead. My dad cooked these tasty treats for dinner.

Pork Barbeque	Cream Dory in Sweet & Sour Sauce
Fried Squid with Onion, Cheese, & Tomato Filling	Kare-kare
Fresh Lumpia	Chicken Macaroni
Spaghetti	Chicken Wings
Lumpiang Shanghai	Fruit Salad

Too bad I didn't get to eat these delicious food because I just had 3 side winders placed on my braces during my dental checkup in the morning. *sigh*

But I really had a lot of fun! I got to spend some quality time with the special people in my life...

The celebration continued on January 3, Sunday. After hearing mass with my family, I had a lunch date with Mark at Persian Grill.

Since this is supposed to be a happy post, I won't elaborate on the food that we ate. I'll just probably do that in a separate post. :p

After lunch, Mark availed of the Shisha, an oriental tobacco pipe.

It has a long tube connected to a container with flavored water. It also has a slot on top where the charcoal is placed. It's a lot different from the usual tobacco or cigarettes because its smoke is cold. The smoke is cooled by passing through the water. We got the apple and cinnamon flavor.

I got to try it and I can say that it was good, but Mark was the one who enjoyed it the most. :p We got to avail of it for 2 hours, then we had a few shots of tequila before finally going home.

I know, right?! It's been almost 2 weeks after the new year, but here I am, still writing about it. :P I hope you will still take time to read this as this is just one of my many backlog blog posts haha! Yup, there are still more to come! ^_^

Welcoming the new year has always been one of the events that I really look forward to. And as always, I welcomed the new year with my family and relatives.

Everyone’s excited to welcome the new year. In as early as 3pm you could already hear sounds of firecrackers everywhere. Jaoey and my cousins were already lighting their sparkles and firecrackers in as early as 6pm. And at exactly 12 midnight, sounds of firecrackers and shouts of joy filled the air and the skies were covered and lit by beautiful colors of fire. :)

But what most of us were really excited about was the Media Noche! After welcoming the new year with a bang, we all feasted on these tasty treats! :)

What a great way to start the year! Last January 1, 2010, I got into another sweet adventure with Mark (and his mom ^_^).

We went to the Araneta Coliseum to watch the Disney on Ice Disneyland Adventure.

I got so thrilled when I saw the Disney characters and the moment we got seated, I found myself taking photos non-stop! :p Here are some of the shots from the show. ^_^
