Ripped Fuel 5X

Ripped Fuel 5X is a dietary supplement that helps accelerate metabolism. It is manufactured by Twinlab one of the main brands used by world class athletes.

This product is designed to reduce body fat and maintain lean muscle. This is great especially for people who tried almost all possible weight loss products but couldn’t get any noticeable results.

For only Php 1,600.00 you can use it for 20days. The recommended dosage for this product is only 1 tablet twice daily before a meal, unlike other fat burners wherein you must take 6-9 tablets per day.

I’ve already tried Ripped Fuel 5x and it really works. After around 5 minutes of taking a tablet, you can already feel that you have more energy in you. After about an hour, you will feel that the food you ate has already been burned and efficiently used as energy.

INGREDIENTS, HOW IT WORKS, AND FOOD SOURCES:

Vitamin B12

Functions:
Vitamin B12 is normally involved in the metabolism of every cell of the body, especially affecting the DNA synthesis and regulation but also fatty acid synthesis and energy production.

Food Sources:

Vitamin B12 is found in foods that come from animals, including fish and shellfish, meat (especially liver), poultry, eggs, milk, and milk products.[29] One half chicken breast provides some 0.3 µg per serving or 6.0% of one's daily value (DV); 3 ounces of beef, 2.4 µg, or 40% of one's DV; one slice of liver 47.9 µg or 780% of DV; and 3 ounces of molluscs 84.1 µg, or 1,400 % of DV.

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)

Functions:
Vitamin B1 is needed to release the energy from fats, proteins and carbohydrates so that it can be used by the body. It’s also essential for the nervous system and to keep the heart healthy. Furthermore, this vitamin is essential for growth in children and for fertility in adults.

Food Sources:
Wholegrain cereals, especially bread, fortified breakfast cereals, porridge oats and brown rice, are good sources of vitamin B1. Other foods that contain this vitamin include dairy products, yeast extract, pulses, nuts, seeds, red meat (especially pork) and offal.

Chromium (Chromium Picolinate)

Functions:
This mineral helps the body process glucose, as well as cholesterol, fats, and proteins. It promotes stable blood sugar levels and sustained energy. Chromium's specific role in the body implies that sufficient levels are necessary for a healthy, natural balance of fats, cholesterol, proteins, and glucose, where food is properly and efficiently metabolized.

Food Sources:
Chromium-rich foods sources, such as brown rice, turkey, fish, cheese, eggs, mushrooms, green beans, and whole grains may not be consumed enough; also, this mineral is difficult for the body to absorb, especially when there are high amount of sugar and white flour products in the diet.

Pyridoxine

Functions:
As an enzyme pyridoxine (vitamin B6) is required for the production of amino acids. It also functions in the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats. It is needed to initiate the chemical reactions that convert the body's stored glycogen into glucose so that it can be turned into a source of energy.

Food Sources:
Vitamin B6 is found in a wide variety of foods including fortified cereals, beans, meat, poultry, fish, and some fruits and vegetables. Ready-to-eat cereal that is 100 percent fortified provides all of the daily value for B6. The four foods that naturally contain the most B6 are potatoes (35 percent), bananas (34 percent), garbanzo beans (30 percent), and chicken breast (25 percent).

Rhodiola

Rhodiola and Weight Loss
As you may know, body fat gets stored in adipose tissue. Once fat is stored in this tissue, it is hard to get rid of. That's why some people just can't seem to get rid of certain fatty spots, including "love handles" or a fatty "tire" around the abdomen. The body does possess and enzyme called hormone-sensitive lipase that is capable of breaking down fat stored in adipose tissue. But this enzyme is not especially active. This is where rhodiola rosea comes in. Extracts of rhodiola rosea have the capacity to activate hormone-sensitive lipase, thus increasing the breakdown of fat stored in adipose tissue. Rosavin specifically contributes to fat breakdown by activating hormone-sensitive lipase, thus increasing the breakdown of fat stored in adipose tissue.

History of Rhodiola
Rhodiola rosea is a legendary adaptogenic tonifier that comes from the polar Arctic regions of Eastern Siberia. Also known as Golden root or Rosea, Rhodiola was highly valued by traditional Arctic tribes as a strengthening tonic to increase physical and mental stamina. Widely used by Russian athletes especially, Rhodiola supports the nervous system and helps to boost mental function by increasing blood-supply to the brain.

Happy 1st!!!

I really love to write! I remember being thrilled every time we are tasked to write compositions for our English class. I was also an editor in our school paper during my high school years and I also got to represent our school in formal theme writing competitions.

I've been wanting to have a blog when I was in college, but I never got to do it because of my busy schedule. It was when I got to work that I was able to finally start to blog. :)

I actually have a blog at my Multiply account, which I started around August 2008, but I never really got to write anything on it except for these 3 posts: Getting married at 31?! NO WAY!!!, annoyingly sweet :p, and Are you going to finish strong?.

I never really got hooked into blogging because I can't seem to find the right things to blog about until Jerellt came into the scene and I got to know of jE's AnAtOmY. :D I enjoy reading her blog a lot especially her posts about her gastronomic adventures, which actually was my inspiration when I posted my very first official blog entry at Sweet Nothings, Botchog Moment with Mark :D. And since then, I have been blogging about life, family, love, adventures, collections, and a lot of sweet nothings about me. :)

And today...

I can't believe that I have been blogging for a year! I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to everyone who had been part of Sweet Nothings:

To my dad, for being my number one reader! Thank you too for all the tasty treats! And to my family, thanks a lot for all the family fun!

To Mark, for all the sweet adventures and sweet notes! Thanks for being one of my sources of happiness. :) Thank you too for being my blog contributor! :)

To Jerellt, for being my inspiration to start this blog. Thanks for being an avid reader! Same goes to Joie and Gener. I hope you all enjoyed reading my posts.

And to everyone who had been dropping by, reading my posts, and giving kind comments, support, and appreciation, thanks a lot for letting me share some sweet nothings with you!

Hello Kitty Optical Mouse

I've been looking for an optical mouse which I can use for my laptop at the office. I know there are a lot of these in malls, but I just don't seem to like any of them.

I want it cute and pink, and of course, it should be Hello Kitty! But well, I don't know but I just can't find it in malls hehe.. I found one in an online shop but unfortunately it was already sold. :( So I started convincing myself to just go for any pink optical mouse.

But just last Christmas, I received not just one, but two Hello Kitty optical mouse! Yipeee!!!!!! :D Thanks to my sister and to Mark! ^_^

Nice Fit!

It has been 3 or 4 months since I last bought a Havaianas flip-flops. And as in my previous post, the last time that I bought one was purely unplanned. I also promised myself to take it easy on spending too much. :P But did I stick to what I promised? Well I guess you already know the answer! Hahaha!  Just last Christmas, I bought not just one, but two pairs! Hahaha!

I bought two pairs of the Havaianas Fit. ^_^ I just love how comfy the Havaianas Fit is.  I also love it's style. Unlike the Havaianas Slim and Top which are just like the usual flip-flops (and are not always allowed in offices even on wash days), the Fit comes with a strap and it would always go well with jeans, shorts, and even dresses. :)

Havaianas Fit - Sheer Violet and Black

I love my new pairs! As well as all my other Fits! ^_^

And these as well.. ^_^

Clash of the Titans in NBA

I got to watch an exciting NBA game earlier. It was a battle between the top two teams in NBA--the Cleveland Cavaliers (top team in the East) and the Los Angeles Lakers (defending champions, number one team in the West); with the top elite players, Lebron James and Kobe Bryant, who both became MVP's of the league.

59355613This night was also very historical for Bryant. He was the youngest player (at 31 years and 151 days) who reached the 25,000-point mark, making him the 15th player who have reached this mark.

But Bryant's prominence was all altered when the Cavs won the game (93-87) with James scoring 37 points, giving 9 assists and 5 rebounds.
James made five of his seven shots for 12 points in the final 12 minutes, helping the Cavs hang on to their 67-65 lead entering the fourth quarter. James once again proved that he is 'The King' of the court!

I believe that James can go way beyond Bryant's feat in his career because James, at age 25 and at almost 7 years in NBA, has already made 16,062 points. I really look up to James as a basketball player because of his exciting offensive and defensive plays. I love the way he plays "defense" especially with his impossible blocks coming from behind. He has already attested that nothing is impossible in basketball especially with his winning shots and blocks.

Here are a few of James' winning blocks and shots:

I really believe that James (the Cavs) will make it to the finals and win his first championship crown and live up to his name as 'The King'!
