Meat Plus Cafe

Had a great vacation at Subic with Mark's family. We headed to Subic last Thursday afternoon and got there around half past 6pm. After checking in at the hotel and unloading our stuffs, we headed to the freeport zone to search for a place for dinner.

We wanted to get away with the usual fast food chains so Mark's uncle suggested that we try it out at Meat Plus Cafe. We placed our orders and then took some photos. :)

Mark's mom loves steaks. She actually knew what to order that she didn't even have to look at the menu. She ordered the classic Tenderloin Steak.

Mark's uncle opted for the Spaghetti and Burger meal.

I believe both dishes tasted good since both Mark's mom and uncle seemed to have enjoyed their orders hehe..

I didn't really settle for steak since I'm on a diet (haha!) and knowing how huge the serving could be I thought that I might not be able to finish my plate. But oh well, I think I was the one who got the biggest plate! *blushes* I just love how the steak sauce which was not too salty jived with the tender pork marinated in sweet barbecue sauce.

I just didn't enjoy the rice though. I first thought it was java rice, but it's was more like the Dolmeh, with bell pepper, spices, and onions, but a lot tastier. :)

My dish came with the soup of the day, the Hearty Vegetable soup, as what the waiting staff claimed. But it was more like the usual sopas without the macaroni hehe..
Their mashed potato was what I loved the most (next to Red Coconut's mashed potato of course haha!). It was actually Mark's order hehe..unlike the usual gravy on top of mashed potato, Meat Place's mashed potato was swimming into steak sauce! *drools*

He also got fresh watermelon shake.

Mark's order came last. We were almost done eating when his order was served. Mark's dish was not just healthy but sumptuous as well. The generous serving of pink salmon grilled to perfection was made more delectable with the sauce which consist of the steak sauce, olive oil, and pineapple salsa. I guess good things really come to those who wait! :)

We all enjoyed the dinner. We had a few chit chat before heading to the Go Kart track. :)

Another Tasty Treat on Maundy Thursday

By now I'm sure you all know about my dad's passion for cooking. He also loves it when the family is complete and he would always make it a point to cook luscious dishes for us.

In as much as he enjoys and loves cooking for us, he also enjoys and loves seeing us as we devour his tasty treats.

Since it's the Lenten Season, meat should be out of the menu so my dad cooked pancit canton minus the meat with cauli flower, carrots, baguio beans, pechay, cabbage, kikiam, and squid balls.

But I guess he really can't resist having at least one main course of meat, so he still cooked this sinful bulalo haha!

Bonding at the Salon with Gia

I usually go by myself to the salon to have my hair cut or my nails done. And whenever it's time to have my nails done, I would usually just have my toe nails done. I would also opt not to have my nails polished.

But this time was different. Just this afternoon, I had my finger and toe nails done, and polished too. :) Plus, I got to do it with my dear sister. :)

Gia also had her nails done. We chose the same color for the nail polish, but she opted to have nail art done on her nails. She chose the floral pattern.

After putting the maroon nail polish, a white nail polish was placed on a metal stencil. A rubber stamp was rubbed on the stencil which was then stamped on to each nail. It turned out really nice and neat.

I would have wanted to have it done on my nails too, but my nails were really small haha!

Train To Win

"No one wins like Manny because no one trains like Manny."

This is what's keeping every participant of the Nike Train to Win challenge very eager to do as much push ups as they can just to beat Manny.

And as in my previous post, Mark also took this challenge.

Here are some snapshots of the videos he uploaded to the Nike Train to Win site. He already has 3 entries and as of 2pm yesterday, he already made 246 push-ups.

He still has 2 more days to beat the top score and I know he can do it. Good luck Mark! Keep pushing! :D

Bodybuilding Laban sa Droga

I accompanied Mark last Saturday to Caloocan for another competition.

The body building competition was organized by Power Gym and was entitled:

'Bodybuilding Laban sa Droga'.

And as always, I was again Mark's personal assistant and was the one who gave him a perfect tan. :D

Mark joined the Bantam Weight Division. Here are some photos of Mark while flexing his muscles.

After the flexes and poses, and the very long, boring, and not-so-convincing talks of some politicians, the awarding finally came. Mark finished 4th!

Congratulations love! For me you're still the sexiest! :)

Training Is Everything

I got excited and happy when I was able to catch another Nuffnang advertisement here in my blog--the Nike Training Is Everything ad. The add consists of two parts, Gear Up and Train to Win. The Gear Up portion includes new limited edition Manny Pacquiao Nike apparel. The Train to Win portion is a contest and a challenge to beat Manny at his exercises.

The challenger should send a video of him doing the most number of push-ups in three minutes or less. One entry may be sent daily up to March 31, 2010. For each push-up, a raffle entry is earned. The winner will get a pair of Nike MP Trainer SC 2010 Low. A limited edition Team Pacquiao shirt also awaits the challenger who earns the most raffle entries.

When I first saw this ad, I immediately thought of Mark. And after some convincing, I was able to make him take the challenge haha!

Here are the Day1 and Day2 videos of Mark, training his way to victory! ;p

His entries are a little late since it's just a few days to go before March 31, but we are still hoping that he can make it to the top! Good luck Mark! :D
