Summit Ridge Hotel

We headed back to Tagaytay City proper after our hearty breakfast at Sonya's Garden. Since we're still early for the hotel check-in, we decided to kill time by enjoying the cool breeze and wonderful view at Tagaytay Picnic Grove.

Taal Lake

Summit Ridge Hotel was were we stayed during our Tagaytay trip. Since we didn't have any plans for the trip, this hotel was indeed a perfect choice for Mark and I since we just wanted to relax and spend some quality time together.

We got their King Deluxe room which we booked online. A down payment of half of the room's rate was required (which we paid via bank deposit) and the other half was settled during our check-in.

While we were mostly out of the hotel during our Corregidor trip, we spent most of our time in our room during our Tagaytay trip. This California king-sized bed was were I spent most of my time eating, watching TV, surfing the net, and of course, sleeping! :D The clean and fresh-smelling white linens, soft pillows, and cushion were so comfy that I didn't mind staying here all day. :p

King Deluxe Room (32-sqm. room with balcony overlooking the Taal Lake) - Php 6,960.00 per night

On each side of the bed are wall-mounted lamps which may be dimmed; and bedside desks; one of which has a telephone, memo pad and pencil, and a remote control for the TV and air-con.

While I enjoyed the king-sized bed, Mark fell in love with this comfy couch right beside the bed, where he spent most of his time either watching NBA or surfing the net. :p

Next to the couch is a chair and an office desk with lamp and booklets of the hotel's policies, restaurant menu, and some travel magazines.

Across the bed, just right next to the office desk, is a personal refrigerator and coffee and tea making facility.

The room is also equipped with a wall-mounted 32-inch LCD Cable TV...

...and another table with glasses, ice bucket, and complimentary bottled water.

Another table, which is blocking a locked door, was where we placed our things (hmmm, I just realized that our room has a lot of tables! Haha!). Apparently, the door is connected to another King/Twin Deluxe room. And usually, the connecting Twin/King Deluxe rooms are being booked by large groups or families.

There was also a large closet (next to the locked door) with hangers, slippers, safety deposit, and a Holy Bible.

Across the locked door is a full-length mirror mounted on the wall.

The restroom was what I checked last.  And just like the whole room, it was clean and spacious.  I love how I can move around with ease in the lavatory.

There's a toilet with bidet plus sets of towels,

a box of tissue and a telephone,

tabletop sink,

basic toiletries, and hair dryer.

A glass divider and door separates the lavatory from the bathroom.

The bathroom is also spacious and has a handheld and overhead rainfall hot and cold shower system and basic toiletries.

Aside from the very spacious room and restroom, and huge and comfy bed, Mark and I also fell in love with the room's balcony..

...and the picturesque view that came with it. :D

I even woke up early the next morning just to stay at the balcony and catch the sunrise! :p

A wireless internet access is also available hotel-wide. Our accommodation also included a complimentary use of the pool and gym, plus buffet breakfast for two.  I'll share these details with you in my next posts. :)

Another thing that Mark and I loved during our stay was the great customer service which we immediately experienced when we arrived at Summit Ridge. We were assisted by the hotel guard as we parked our car and were greeted with a smile when we alighted. He even opened the car door for me. Sweet!  A bellboy also came to us soon after and carried our things up to our room.  Check-in was hassle-free and fast, thanks to the receptionists who were very accommodating and all-smiles. :)

A few things to take note:
* Twin/King Deluxe room accommodation is good for 2 adults and 1 child.
* Housekeeping services are available 24 hours daily. Just hang the "Make Up Room" sign on the door should you want to have your room cleaned.
* Laundry services are offered for a fee. Cut-off time for pick-up is 5:00 p.m with delivery on the following day. Iron and ironing board are also available upon request.
* Food and drinks are allowed inside the hotel. For other vacation essentials, you may go to the Summit Ridge mall right beside the hotel.

Except for the buffet breakfast which wasn't really something to rave about (more of this in my next post), I can say that our stay at the hotel was indeed a great one. With first-class service and accommodation, Summit Ridge Hotel sure did give Mark and I our much needed rest and relaxation. :D
