How to Build Muscle Fast

We got back to our hotel after a whole day of fun at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Rambler Garden Hotel was where Missy Diva Travels booked a room for three for our stay in Hong Kong. Although our hotel was not located at the heart of the city, it is overlooking the Rambler Channel waterfront and is just a few minutes away from the airport and very near the MTR.


After confirming our reservation, we then went up to our room. Upon seeing the hotel's receiving area, which was just plain-looking, I somehow had an idea on what to expect in our Superior room.


According to the hotel's website, the Superior room is approximately 18 sq. m (194 sq. ft) and furnished with either two twin beds or one double bed and can only accommodate up to two adults. I wasn't sure if they just have small twin beds, but from the looks of it, our room can only accommodate two single beds. 


And since we're three, I don't know if it's our travel agent's or the hotel's idea that instead of booking a bigger room for us, the Superior room was just revamped to accommodate another single bed, making it a little too cramped.

Not sure how much our room cost, given there were 3 beds, but a Superior Room (for 2) costs HK$600 per night (subject to 10% service charge and prevailing government tax per room per night)

Our room has a cabinet with a couple of hangers and complimentary slippers, tea and coffee making facility, electric kettle, electronic safe, and mini ref; which we weren't able to make use because of our room's set up.


Good thing our room was equipped with a well-working air-conditioning sytem with temperature control and a colored TV with satellite channels (with around 3 English channels, thank God!).

The website also cites that Wi-Fi internet connection is available, but I guess it wasn't clearly stated that it's not for free. You'll have to pay HK$50 for a 2-hour Wi-Fi connection.

Although our room wasn't that spacious, it was very clean. The beds, pillows, linens, and comforters were clean-smelling and were very soft! We were supposed to just rest for a while before having dinner, but Mark was not feeling well and his mom was already complaining of tired feet, so I wasn't surprised when I saw them all curled up in the soft comforter after I went out from the washroom. :p


Speaking of the washroom, it was also not that spacious but I was able to move about with ease. It was cozy and clean too. We were provided with three sets of towels and toiletries.


A shower curtain separates the toilet from the bathroom with hot and cold shower system.



The hotel also offers amenities and facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool with tranquil gardens at the Sky Garden and a recreational club house with a fully-equipped gym.

I brought gym clothes and swimwear which I unfortunately wasn't able to use because we were out of the hotel most of the time. Other than the pool and gym, there's also a nearby arcade where we got our fix for a little retail therapy. :D

The staff were okay and polite, but were kind of a little snob, just like the rest of the locals, but the manager was very commendable. He was all smiles whenever we cross paths and was all-hands in assisting us when I had to rush Mark to the hospital during midnight (that on my next post). And although there were a few misses, we all had a good stay in Rambler Garden Hotel.
