Logma in Dubai Mall

We've been to Logma's branch in Box Park a couple of times and in all occasions, the place is always beaming with diners—a proof that Logma is one of the top crowd favorites in Dubai when it comes to Khaleeji food.

They finally opened their doors in one of the newest additions in Dubai Mall—the New Fashion Avenue—which Mark and I also got to try out, a couple of weekends back.

Logma in Dubai Mall has the same ambience with the Box Park branch—a combination of traditional and contemporary Emirati vibe is still evident—but this new branch is more spacious and I find it a little more posh.

We arrived past lunch time but the restaurant is still packed, good thing we were able to score a table at the outdoor terrace. Summer in Dubai has not officially started during our visit and the hot weather was still bearable, so the outdoor terrace was a good choice.

It gave us unobstructed view of the Dubai Fountain and Downtown Dubai, which made the dining experience more fun.

Mark and I already have our own favorites in Logma, so we made sure to enjoy them again in their Dubai Mall branch, but we were also up to try dishes that we still haven't tried before.

Khaleeji Treats from Logma

Rocca Salad - rocket leaves mixed with cucumber, tomatoes, sesame seeds, and pomegranate, tossed in lemon vinaigrette dressing with pomegranate molasses. I find this one a bit too acidic. The one that we had at the Box Park branch was better.

Cheese Samboosa - cream cheese mixed with spiced Oman chips. My all time favorite starter at Logma!

Logma Fries - fries seasoned with Khaleeji spices and mixed with crisp herbs. Still the best seasoned fries for me!

Khaleeji Wings - fried chicken wings flavored with Logma's homemade sauce. It was okay—crispy, tangy, lemony, and a bit spicy—though I can’t really tell what the hype was all about. But yeah, to each his own.

Chicken Shawarma Khameer Sandwich - chicken shawarma slices, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled cucumber, and garlic mayonnaise in a khameer bun. I love that it has a generous filling; the serving is huge and is good for sharing. It had that authentic shawarma taste but it would be nice if the saltiness was toned down a bit. It was a tad too salty.

Fish Machbous - traditional marinated fish with Khaleeji spices, cooked with yellow rice and served with raita sauce. This one was Mark's choice. I'm not fond of fish but I must admit that this one's good! The fried fish chunks didn't have that fishy taste, which I loved. The fried string potatoes also added texture to the dish.

Mark and I have our own favorite Logma desserts, mine started on our second visit to their Box Park branch, while Mark's was when we visited Sukkar.

Sweets from Sukkar
Nutella Well for Mark and Milk Chocolate Lugaimat for me!
The Nutella Well - molten dark chocolate cake, Nutella, chocolate sauce, almond flakes, with vanilla ice cream and meringue honey comb. Mark's favorite!

Milk Chocolate Lugaimat - a traditional Emirati dessert; a sweet dumpling, similar to fried donut holes, with melted milk chocolate and ground pistachio. I can eat this all day!

Logma has been consistent with the taste and quality of their food as well as their service, staff is attentive and service is quick even when it's a busy hour; and this was also evident in their Dubai Mall branch. Logma will always be my go to place whenever I'm craving some Khaleeji food.

I recon dining on the outdoor terrace for dinner in their Dubai Mall branch is an even better idea—imagine enjoying some Khaleeji treats with an unobstructed view of the fountain show. Sweet!
