Workout of the Day: Shoulder Workout

Indian Street Food Fix at Roti Rollers in La Mer Dubai

Indian food, let alone Indian street food, tend to be too oily; at least that's what I observed. So as much as Mark and I enjoy having Indian food, it's not always our go-to cuisine if we're trying to eat healthy. And admittedly, though I was very eager to try Roti Rollers for our Saturday cheat meal, I was also hesitant since I knew Mark wasn't up for it.

All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum at Long Yin

I had been having this huge craving for dim sum for weeks! I guess the universe heard my pleas when an invitation from Long Yin popped up on my email.

Art of Spice Indian Night by Celebrity Chef Sweety Singh

I'd been to the Medley Restaurant before for Iftar, and just a couple of weeks ago, Mark and I were back at Medley to experience their Indian themed night. Dubbed as the "Art of Spice", the theme night offers a buffet spread of authentic Indian dishes with ingredients and flavors inspired by the North Indian region, all curated by the award winning chef Sweety Singh.

Asian Food Fix at Wosaki - Wok Salad Kitchen

A relaxed dining venue, Wosaki is a wok and salad kitchen located at Al Karama, Dubai. It is a small kitchen (which I think can house around 20 pax) with modern industrial interiors, communal tables benches, complete with some funky wall accents and murals. You can also witness how your food is made fresh from their open kitchen.

L'eto Caffe in City Walk, Dubai

I've been seeing L'eto Caffe every time we're strolling around the esplanade in City Walk. There's something about their Parisian inspired decors (which are visible from the al fresco dining area) that's so captivating. Glad that I finally got to see it up close when we were invited to try their offerings a few weekends back.

Middle Eastern Fare at Al Maeda

Dubai, being our second home for more than 3 years now, has opened our palates into different cuisines. One of which is the Middle Eastern cuisine which Mark and I have already come to love. That is why we were more than delighted when we got to indulge in an Arabian gastronomic adventure a couple of weeks back at Al Maeda Restaurant.

Indo-Chinese Fare at China Town

It was a Saturday and Mark and I just lazed around the whole day, so we found ourselves again walking into New Sarhad Darbar for our Saturday dinner habit. I was craving some Mutton Korma and Roti, which unfortunately were not available that time and I wasn't up for having their other dishes, so we decided to dine elsewhere.

World Chocolate Day at Movenpick Hotel Bur Dubai

It's World Chocolate Day today! As early as last Monday, our friends from Movenpick Hotel Bur Dubai sent us a sweet surprise in preparation for today.

Logma in Dubai Mall

We've been to Logma's branch in Box Park a couple of times and in all occasions, the place is always beaming with diners—a proof that Logma is one of the top crowd favorites in Dubai when it comes to Khaleeji food.

Iftar at Channels in Media Rotana

Being the social butterfly that I am NOT, I usually just go out when I'm with Mark. :p And considering our crazy schedules, Saturdays are the only days that we get to go out. That's also the same reason why I accept an invite only if it falls on a Saturday.

Dinner at Local in Tryp by Wyndham

Located at Tryp by Wyndham in Barsha Heights, Local is the hotel's main restaurant which offers a fresh, modern vibe. With a "Keep it Real" philosophy, they cater to all palates with their rustic, gastro-pub style menu and drinks.

New Menu Items at Max's Restaurant

Max's Restaurant added new items to their menu yet again, and Mark and I were invited to try them out. It was very timely that we are also scheduled for a meet up with our Dubai family who, coincidentally, also chose Max's Restaurant as our lunch venue.

Authentic Italian Fare at Ravioli & Co.

Have you been to Ravioli & Co.?  It's located in Burj Daman in DIFC. They serve authentic Italian dishes. Mark and I got to try it out a couple of weekends back.

Lovin Dubai Lotus Mega Yacht Brunch Cruise

Mark and I had a little argument so we both started the day without even greeting each other; then off to work we go. Come afternoon, I received a message from him which left me with no choice but to raise the white flag. Apparently he got picked by #ZomatoGold to experience Lovin Dubai's Mega Yacht Brunch on board the Lotus Mega Yacht! Who could resist such invitation, right? Hahaha!

Book A Barrel Brunch at L!QD Tapas Bar

If you've been living in Dubai for quite some time, you've probably known by now how brunches are not just a thing but an institution here especially on weekends. Can't believe that I haven't had brunch since 2016! Yes, that long. So I was very excited to finally have it again a couple of weekends back at L!QD.

Khaleeji Sweets at Sukkar

Whenever I'm craving some Khaleeji foodLogma always comes to mind. We've tried it a couple of times and have always went home with happy tummies. Located just right next to Logma, is their sister concept, Sukkar. There's a limited seating area (only one table) inside a bakery-like setting; and a laid back al fresco dining area which is perfect during Dubai winter; just not sure I'd be enjoying as much during summer, though.

An Arabic term for sugar, Sukkar specializes in Khaleeji sweets as well as contemporary desserts that are infused with local flavors and ingredients like saffron, rose, karak, and pistachio. Apart from desserts, they also offer specialty shakes and coffee, and hot and cold drinks.
