I started this blog 4 years ago with the thought of just wanting to share about my life, my family, my love, my food trips, my collections, my adventures, and all sweet nothings about me.
I didn't care if no one gets to read my posts and I never really expected this blog to reach people aside from my family, Mark, and a few friends. So having a reader send me some gifts really made my day!

Got these lovely gifts in the mail today! Thank you very much, Joana! I actually got an email from her, who chanced upon my blog. They have a newly-opened Moonleaf Tea Shop in Ortigas Home Depot in Pasig, and she said that she wanted to send me some gifts. And just this morning, the parcel arrived! :)
Just like what I said before, I always make sure that I get to cook Mark's favorites whenever he comes over at my house for a visit. Aside from his all-time-favorite Kare-Kare, I also learned that he has come to love my version of Pork Steak. :D Thanks to my mom for teaching me the recipe. :)
Pork steak is actually a twist on the Filipino dish, Bistek Tagalog (Beef Steak), as it has the same ingredients and just differs with the main ingredient which is the meat. Paired with steamed rice plus Ensaladang Kamote (Camote Tops Salad), I'm sure this dish will be a family hit, just like how it has always been for our family. :)

It's just now that I realized that aside from the backlogs that are already piling up, I also haven't had the time to update even the blog posts for my Instagram shots! Tsk tsk..
I started posting them here in my blog on a monthly basis, but I don't think that would still work for me now (although I still get to update my Instagram account regularly), so I'll post it every quarter instead. :)
It seems to me that the year has just started but time really flies and now we're already halfway through the month of April! It started out very fine and this year has been very good to me so far. :) Here are some of the highlights of the first quarter of my year.
If there's one thing that will always remain in most (if not all) of us, kids and the kids at heart alike, I think it would be our love for toys. I for one feel a lot more relaxed and happier whenever I see my Hello Kitty toys which are still intact up to now. Mark also has this little collection of Ferrari toy cars that are displayed in his room.
And so last November, Mark and I did away with our usual lunch and movie date and went off for a fun adventure. We paid a visit at Yexel's Toy Museum in Las Piñas and got to feel like little kids again. :)
The museum is a product of Yexel's (the owner) fondness in collecting toys. It is a three-story museum that houses thousands of toys and action figures from the small ones, to life-sized, and even huge ones.
Summer time is family time! I know most of you have already been busy planning a lot of summer vacations and activities which your entire family will enjoy. But if planning for a summer fun is getting to be a challenge, why not just indulge into a family feast and bring the folks and the kids to Eastwood Richmonde Hotel's all-day dining restaurant, the Eastwood Café, and have a delectable yet affordable feast that everyone will surely love? :)
I was invited to the launch of Eastwood Café's Weekend Family Buffet yesterday at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel. Along with other guests and food bloggers, Mark and I got to indulge into an extensive buffet spread, with stations strategically placed in the cafe, featuring hot-off-the-grill meats, healthy hot pot, native delicacies, unlimited sweets, and so much more!
Starting this weekend, Saturday, April 6, and for all weekends of April, May, and June of 2013, Eastwood Café pays tribute to the summer sun and brings a scrumptious Weekend Family Buffet packed with dishes to satisfy every family members' cravings all for just Php 880 nett!
Had a little get together with my college friends last December at Tagaytay. After a night of fun and laughter, we parted ways as we head back to Manila. I was with Mark and Ian and we decided to have lunch on our way home, and Leslie's Restaurant topped our list.
There were already a lot of diners when we arrived but we were still lucky to get a seat at the far end of the restaurant, overlooking the Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.
